


Crispy Onion Rings
2 large onions sliced – keeping rings intact
2 ½ tsp Soul Food seasoning
1 cup flour
1 ½ cup panko bread crumbs
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
Enough oil to coat the bottom of a skillet making sure the sides of the onions are covered.
Start by heating oil.
While oil is heating, prepare the dredge ingredients.
Using a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk and 1 tsp Soul Food seasoning.
In a separate dish, combine flour and 1 tsp Soul Food seasoning.
Place panko crumbs in a shallow dish by themselves.
This recipe uses a dredge technique.
Dip onions in egg mixture, then flour mixture, then egg mixture again and finish off with panko crumbs.
Deep fry in one single layer until brown and crispy.
