Chewy Blondies
My coworkers will be thrilled to know this recipe has been included on the blog! These Blondies are loved by so many folks, it is hard to count!
Although they are divine all by themselves, they become ridiculously decadent when served with vanilla ice cream and homemade caramel sauce and course sea salt!
These come together in only one bowl and they can be mixed using a fork. NO need to get out the mixer! Super easy!
Ingredients
-
2 1/2 cups flour (all purpose)
-
2 sticks melted margarine (do not use butter and make sure the margarine is at least 80% vegetable oil)
-
1 tsp vanilla
-
2 eggs
-
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
-
1/2 cup white sugar
-
1 tsp baking powder
-
1 tsp butter nut flavoring
-
Using one large bowl and a fork, mix wet ingredients together, then add sugar. Stir, then add the flour.
-
Mix well.
-
Pour into a greased 9x13 pan.
-
Bake on 350 degrees until slightly brown.
-
Remove from oven and allow them to rest for at least 30-40 minutes before cutting into squares. This allows them to firm up a bit.
